So I haven’t blogged for quite a while. It’s amazing that even during lockdown I have been so busy and kept forgetting. France has now entered the ‘deconfinement’ stage – all shops are open, some schools and as of next Tuesday 2nd June – bars, restaurants, holiday accomodation, parks are also allowed to open with social distancing measures, masks and hygiene protocols. As many of the customers who should already be here on the campsite are from Britain there will be no immediate change on the status of the campsite until the borders are open, however next Friday we are opening the Bar Oasis for its first night of season 2020.We have been doing some takeaways for the last few weekends – fish and chips was our first and very popular. We have seen some of our local customers for burgers and kebabs and it has been lovely to see them even if we can’t kiss or hug or shake hands.

So I have been sitting this morning in the glorious sunshine writing our shopping lists for next week. Chicken sizzler, chef’s salad and sirloin steak back on the menu every weekend…… Also a trip to the vineyard Domaine de Mihoudy will be on the cards. We will still be spending hours mowing and strimming and gardening so that when the first mobile home customers arrive the campsite will look like something from a film set (a girl can dream…..).

A très bientôt tout le monde
